The Pula Arena served as a one-of-a-kind stage for the screening of the audiovisual masterpiece Gladiator, directed by Ridley Scott, as well as for the presentation of the Crystal Pine Award for Lifetime Achievement to one of the greatest sound designers of all time, Scott Millan. A four-time Oscar® winner, Millan received one of his Academy Awards for Gladiator itself.
