On July 23, 2023, the 20th anniversary of the finale of the greatest trilogy in film history – The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, directed by Peter Jackson, was spectacularly celebrated. There is little need to elaborate on this cinematic masterpiece, but last year’s guests certainly drew special attention. Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to composer Howard Shore and sound designer Michael Minkler, both three-time Oscar® winners with over 40 years of successful careers. Among the distinguished guests of this special event was also Mark Ulano, an Academy Award® winner for the sound of James Cameron’s Titanic.
